Each drawing is an accumulation of traces. The drawings result from the gluing and unsticking of tapes, the movement of the hand and arm, the texture and cohesion of the paper, and the more or less oily consistency of the pencils. The presence of the drawing is the presence of the gestures that gave rise to it, a visual means of summoning a more comprehensive sensorial involvement – touch, delicacy, energy, surprise of the chromatic vibration, concordance of the forms, surrender to discovery.

Cada desenho é um acumular de vestígios. Os desenhos resultam da colagem e descolagem de fitas, do movimento da mão e do braço, da textura e coesão do papel, e da consistência mais ou menos oleosa dos lápis. A presença do desenho é a presença dos gestos que lhe deram origem, um meio visual de convocar um envolvimento sensorial mais abrangente – tacto, delicadeza, energia, surpresa da vibração cromática, concordância das formas, e entrega à descoberta.
